Civilian Deaths due to War Operations, No 201 Archive Reference: TWAS T15/1495

Mortuary Form for the body of Walter Ludwig, German pilot recovered from the North Sea and brought to ARP mortuary on Church Way, North Shields.

The reverse of the Form shows that the airman was wearing a German Air Force uniform and full flying kit.
Amongst his personal effects were: photograph and Identity Card No 166, Belgian automatic pistol loaded, wristlet watch stopped at 9.58, one Identity Disc 53563/161.
All property was taken away by Flight Officer E.A. Little of RAF Intelligence.
